About your Photographer
Meet Natalia Powell, the founder and photographer behind Freeze Frame Memories. Natalia grew up in Langley, B.C and competed in both track and field and basketball at a high level. Aside from her pursuit of sports, she has always had a passion for photography and editing, whether it was as a school aged child taking pictures of her dog on a digital camera or using a camcorder to capture videos of her sibling's birthday. When Natalia entered high school she took Graphic Design and Video Production courses where she learned how to use Photoshop and Adobe Premiere.
After Natalia graduated high school she moved to Calgary, AB to study a Bachelor's of Nursing at the University of Calgary. After working for just over 2.5 years as a Registered Nurse in different hospitals and within various units in Calgary such as Palliative Oncology, Urology Surgery and Bone Marrow Transplant/ Hematology, Natalia decided to start her own photography business in addition to working as an RN. From her experience as a nurse she truly knows how precious capturing a moment in time is, and to never take any experience for granted.
Natalia married her husband Tyler in the summer of 2025. They live with their little fur baby Coco, in Calgary. Some of Natalia's hobbies include being a member of Orange Theory Fitness, travelling, spending time with family and friends and checking out new restaurants or coffee shops.
